Edwards Solar
Hot Water System –
Roof Model
Be the envy of your street and get a Edwards Solar Hot water system fitted today. All the hot water cylinders in the
Solar Edwards roof-mounted range are made with long life stainless steel. Solar
Edwards Stainless steel cylinders are a natural barrier against corrosion. Because
this sacrificial anode is not required it makes them virtually free of maintenance.
Some competitors use mild steel cylinders with vitreous glass lining requiring
regular costly service intervals replacing the anode negating the cost savings
advantage of having a Solar Hot Water system.
Mild steel storage tanks are prone
to corrosion the exterior as well as the interior.
With Solar Edwards excellent qualities,
their stainless steel solar water heaters have earned them award winning
performance and independent recognition, validating Solar Edwards leadership in
solar hot water technology.

Which
System Suits You
Which Solar Edwards system suits you
best depends on many things, where you live, which way your home faces and even
the pitch of your roof. So it's important to talk to Hot water Maintenance Artarmon
to find out system which is ideal for you.
There will be times during the year (mainly
in winter) when your solar hot water system doesn't receive enough solar energy
to provide all your hot water. Edwards Hot water gives you the choice of
boosting options, electric element booster or an indipendant gas continuous
unit. Ask Hot Water Maintenance Artarmons friendly staff which system suits you
and your house best.
Edwards’s stainless steel solar hot water heaters do not have a sacrificial anode, therefore need less maintenance. If you live in a warm climate, not subject to frost, then the Edwards L Series 2 solar hot water system is ideal. Using natural thermosiphon principle, when water is heated it rises, the water heats as it passes through the collector panels and then runs back into the storage tank.
If you live in a frost prone area or have poor water quality, the Edwards LX Series 2 is more suitable. Using the heat transferring properties of Glycol, a special anti-freeze fluid that circulates through a collector jacket, it transfers the solar energy to heat the water indirectly. The benefit of this method is the system can be used in frost areas, without damage. Edwards solar water heaters can have either an in tank electric element booster or gas in-line continuous flow booster for when you need to add to the solar contribution. Make sure you use a qualified plumber or trades person to ensure you receive plenty of hot water free from the sun.
